The Aurora Protocol Specification v2.0 includes 8B/10B encoding schemes, full-duplex operation, and serial simplex operation. The ABFM models the behavior of Aurora protocol and can be used to generate stimulus for and to monitor the response of an Aurora interface design. The BFM includes advanced features for precision testing and characterization of Aurora implementations--including simplex, and automatic conformance testing for 8B/10B duplex designs.
Key Features
- High bandwidth with low pin count achieves multi-gigabit data rates with only 4 pins
- Flexible system partitioning
- Easy encapsulation and transport of higher layers
- Scalable across all design requirements
- Versatile across chips, boards, backplanes, and boxes as well as across a number of topologies - star, mesh, etc.
BFM FeaturesSupports simulation environments on Windows, Sun Solaris, and the Linux operating systems for the following simulators:
- ModelSim for both VHDL and Verilog
- NCSIM
- VCS
