Xilinx Press Release #0777FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE XILINX AND THE AIDS COALITION SILICON VALLEY HOST Gala and Awards Night to benefit local HIV/AIDS service providers SAN JOSE, Calif., May 23, 2007 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX), and the AIDS Coalition Silicon Valley (ACSV) today announced the third annual ‘Unmask the Mysteries’ a Masquerade Gala and AIDS Benefit Night to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara. Xilinx Chairman, President and CEO Wim Roelandts will join other Silicon Valley industry leaders to host the event, designed to bring together business, civic leaders and supporters of the AIDS Coalition to unmask the facts of the AIDS pandemic and generate critical funding necessary to support community service providers. "The AIDS pandemic continues to wreak havoc around the world, including right here in our own community," said Roelandts. "I am appealing to all good people to lend their support to our local Silicon Valley AIDS service organizations, who provide the much needed support network for AIDS patients and their families. Please encourage your company to join Xilinx in this important event. We can work together to make our community stronger." The masquerade ball celebration features a gallery of the many unique masks created specifically for the event by various celebrities, individuals and participating companies. Proceeds from the event, which also features a silent auction, benefit nine local HIV/AIDS agencies. These groups reach more than 30,000 people annually with their HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness programs and more than 5,000 people through direct services and outreach. To purchase tickets (priced at $125) or to obtain more information about the event, visit www.unmaskthemysteries.com or call (408) 451-9255. “While the event promises to be a fabulous, fun evening for donors,” said Teresa O’Neill, Unmask the Mysteries organizer and ACSV chairperson, “the purpose of the fund-raising evening is very serious. HIV/AIDS is a continuing threat in our community and, at the same time, funds to help prevent it and care for people who are afflicted are very inadequate. Money is desperately needed for education awareness and prevention to help victims of AIDS right here in our own backyard.” Xilinx, whose commitment to the fight against AIDS in Silicon Valley spans over 17 years, joins the many Silicon Valley based sponsors including Broadcast Media Partner NBC11, Applied Materials, NVIDIA, SanDisk, The Triton Museum of Art, KLA Tencor, Hallmark Construction, Norcomp, Applied Materials, CoWare, Agilent Technologies, Avnet, Nu Horizons Electronics, Boehringer Ingelheim, Coldwell Banker, CoWare Inc., Aruba Networks, Sereno Realty Group, Tibotec Pharmaceuticals, Bon Appetit, J.Lohr Vineyards and Wine and many others.
