Description

Keywords: SIOTK, GTP, GTX, MGT, Bit, Error, transceiver, JTAG

When I attempt to reconnect to my board in the Analyzer after a Power Cycle, the following errors occur:

"ERROR - Device 1 Unit 1000: Invalid XSDB Bus Device:1, user chain number/bus:1.
ERROR - Device 1 Unit 1000: Device:1, user chain number:1, slave index:0, is not a valid CseXsdb Slave core.
ERROR - Device 1 Unit 1000: Invalid XSDB Bus Device:1, user chain number/bus:1.
...
ERROR - Device 1 Unit 1000: Data structures not initialized for CseXsdb slave Device:1, user chain number/bus:1, slave index:1.
ERROR - Device 1 Unit 1000: Data structures not initialized for CseXsdb slave Device:1, user chain number/bus:1, slave index:1.
INFO: Found 0 Core Units in the JTAG device Chain.
INFO: If cores were expected to be found, see Answer Record 19337."

What does this mean?

Solution

These are spurious messages that can be ignored. The errors occur when the device is reset with a PROG pulse or Power Cycle and then a reconnect is attempted.

To work around this issue, reconfigure the device. These messages are scheduled to be removed in the ChipScope 11.3 tool.
