Recorded Lecture: AccelDSP Jump Start Modules
Duration: Each module is approximately 10 mins.
The AccelDSP Synthesis Tool accelerates the migration of MATLAB algorithms into Xilinx FPGAs. This recorded e-learning training will provide a jump start for those who want to evaluate this flow.
After completing this training, you will be able to:
- Modify a MATLAB script for a DSP algorithm so that it can be synthesized using the AccelDSP Synthesis Tool
- Identify the concepts of quantization as well as specify, monitor, and control bit growth in a MATLAB design
- Apply MATLAB coding style changes and AccelDSP directives to optimize a design for performance and efficiency
Module Descriptions
- Module 1 provides an introduction to the AccelDSP Synthesis Tool and flow. You will learn how to set up a MATLAB script file for synthesis and run the tool with default settings.
- Module 2 provides an overview on how to write MATLAB for hardware design. The overview includes basic synthesis constructs and the requirements of MATLAB coding for efficient hardware implementations.
- Module 3 provides an overview of the automated floating-point to fixed-point capability of AccelDSP. You will learn how the user interactive flow works and how to analyze and modify results to meet design fidelity needs.
- Module 4 highlights the design exploration features of AccelDSP that allow for area, frequency, throughput, and latency tradeoffs from one golden MATLAB design.
- Module 5 focuses on the use of AccelWare parameterized DSP IP models within the design and the generation and validation of the entire module.
