Demo Title Presenter Description
8K HDMI 2.1
  The industry’s first FPGA implementation of HDMI 2.1 now running on the new Xilinx Versal AI Core Series VCK190 evaluation kit. With data rates up to 48Gbps, HDMI 2.1 supports a range of higher video resolutions and frame rates including 8K60 and 4K120 for a more immersive experience in LED walls, large format displays and digital signage.
4K Low Latency H.265/H264 Streaming   Based on the H.265/H.264 video codec unit (VCU) integrated in Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC EV devices, this demonstration shows simultaneous bidirectional encode and decode using the latest low-latency modes available in our VCU Targeted Reference Design. Based on ZCU106 evaluation boards, we show 4K content from HDMI sources being encoded, sent over Ethernet, decoded and presented to 4K HDMI displays.  The Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, with its high integration of on-board codec, ARM® processors and GPU, embedded peripherals, AV-capable transceivers and high performance programmable logic provide the ideal AV processing platform for streaming endpoints, video conferencing, cameras, displays and many other pro AV applications.
4K AV over 1GbE
Macnica Technology The MPA1000 AV over IP System on Module transports 4K60p 4:4:4 HDMI over 1Gigabit networks using the Xilinx HDMI 2.0 subsystem, the intoPIX JPEG-XS-based TICO-XS mezzanine codec and the Macnica SMPTE ST 2110 and AMWA NMOS-based IP transport and control. The SoM can be used in any AV over IP system to provide visually lossless video with sub-frame latency along with audio and control data. By adopting an open standards-based approach, the MPA1000 gives OEM manufacturers what they need to build interoperable 4K AV over IP systems for the industry.
4K AV over 25GbE Adeas & Nextera Video An end-to-end SMPTE ST 2110 solution including ST 2059 PTP and NMOS Control Software (IS-04, IS-05 and IS-08) is shown on the Image Matters Origami M20 platform and the Xilinx KCU116 evaluation kit. Highlighting 4K60 video transport over 25G Ethernet, the demonstration shows how ST 2110 can provide a truly interoperable way to reliably transport and control AV traffic over any Ethernet data rate.
Machine Learning for Digital Signage, Cameras and Encoding
  Using Xilinx low-latency AI inference acceleration, our proof-of-concept demonstrations highlight detection of people and faces to perform workflow efficient improvements and cost-saving operations. In digital signage, we classify viewer attributes such as gender, and present targeted ads and/or capture viewership metrics. In streaming applications, Region of Interest encoding can dramatically reduce compressed bitrates (and CDN costs) by focusing highest video quality on, for example, the areas your eyes are naturally drawn to, and reducing the rest. And a high resolution camera can be used to track objects and provide multiple cropped HD outputs so that a single operator can select from many virtual camera feeds. The demonstrations are shown on the ZCU106 and ZCU104 evaluation kits for AI edge processing, but could also be run in servers on Alveo accelerator cards.
