The O-RAN Alliance open fronthaul interface enables network operators to use distributed units (DUs) and radio units (RUs) from different vendors. Join this session to see how Xilinx and Cisco leveraged Keysight's Open RAN Studio solution to validate the operation and performance of an [emulated] legacy radio unit with CPRI interface and a massive MIMO O-RU reference design from Xilinx sharing a common Ethernet-based eCPRI fronthaul network through Xilinx-based Cisco cell-site routers, which will ultimately perform the fronthaul gateway functions between the legacy RUs and O-RAN DUs.
